Archibald’s Story

Hi, I’m Archibald (Archie for short)! I was found in the 38107 area sleeping on a pile of leaves in the rain when this lady woke me up and was trying to get me off of a stranger’s porch. I was pretty scared, but intrigued by the sound of a squeaky toy, so I took a leap of faith right into her car. I warmed up super fast and spent the rest of the night playing and running around, ending it with a warm place to sleep… finally!

I love to be active, chase my tail, catch treats midair, and play wrestle. I have a rough and rowdy play style, so it’s a total bummer that I’m heartworm positive. I can’t wait to be all better so I can run and play all I want! I am a super smart boy and a quick learner! I know several commands already, including sit, down, leave it, and am working on drop it and come. I am also pretty much fully house- and crate-trained!

I am a fan of humans and would be a great dog for a home with respectful older kids. I can be a little nervous at first, but people in the past haven’t always been kind to me. I would prefer to be the only pet so I can be spoiled and treated like the king I am. II am looking for my forever family, could that be you?
